- Just run the .exe and select the path you want it to go to. I cannot recommend installing as a mobile application as I cannot speak on the ENB/hook compatibility. It is recommended that you install it in c: (the default position) and not in the program files folder as that may cause some complications.

- Select your hook/ENB:
- As of the previous step you have installed the vanilla version of the game. Now it's high time you make it fappable.
- There are three basic hooks (1b, 2a, 2b), each of which with its own set of variants. Each hook (and each variant) add a different effect to your game. There are also three standalone hooks (Skyrim hook, Hook Full hook, Sweet sunset).
- Hookv1 is a more 'realistic' filter which has soft focus features and a whole lot of bloom. Hookv2 is cell shaded and in my opinion needs the HQ textures or else it looks like ass.
- A) First you need to download the hookpack, which includes hooks 1b, 2a, 2b, their variants and the standalone skyrim hook:

- Inside the hookpack are also pics and a README file that show what effect each hook/variant combination has.
- B) Look at the pictures and decide what hook/variant you want to install (you can only install one hook at a time. E.g. you can't have hooks 1b and 2a together)
- C) Install the core files of the hook you chose (for hooks 1b, 2a and 2b)
- To do that you need to copy the core files of the hook into the binaries folder of your game.
- Example: If you chose hook 1b, go to /core files/hook1b and copy all those files (there are 6 of them) into the the /TheKlub17/binaries directory. If you chose hook 2a go to /core files/hook2a and copy those files (2 files and a folder containing three more) to /theklub17/binaries directory and so on.
- D) Now that you have installed the hook you need to install the variant of your choice. It goes without saying that you need to install a variant that corresponds to the hook you installed. For example one of the 2a variants if you installed hook 2a. Not an 1B variant for hook 2b and so on.
- You must copy the files of that variant (a main.fx file or the shader folder as well if that exists) into your binaries so that it will overwrite the basic main.fx of the hook.
- Some authors have written more than 1 main.fx in which case they are named main.wet.fx / main.dry.fx / main.cartoon.fx based on their effect and so that they can be distinguished. In this case you have to rename the fx file you chose into main.fx so that it will overwrite the basic main.fx file when you place it into your binaries.
- Example: You have installed the 1b hook and from the 1b variants you chose veryslow's dry fx file. You go to /variants/veryslow/ and rename main.dry.fx into main.fx then copy it to /TheKlub17/binaries and overwrite the basic main.fx of the hook that is already there.
- E) Skyrim's hook,sweet sunset hook and the hook full hook have no variants. If you choose one of them you just copy all of its files into your binaries folder.
- F) If you are using hook 2A or 2B, you might also want to check out shaders.jpg, which corresponds to 'hook_shaders.fx' files. You add a shader similarly to how you add a main.fx file. You choose which you like, then you copy it to the hook_data folder in your binaries.
- 4: Launch and check the hook
- Launch the game from the Binaries folder by running the TK17_Launcher.exe file. Launching the game from any of other place may launch the vanilla game (bypassing the hook) instead or cause a crash. Once the launcher has popped up hit Options and MAKE SURE you CHANGE THE OPTION MARKED 'RENDERER TYPE' TO 'DIRECTX'. Again, make sure the renderer is set to DirectX. After that, you can change your resolution size and if you want fullscreen on or off. Once finished in the Options panel, make sure you click the SAVE button at the bottom. It won't look like it does anything but it does. Once finished, click on Free Game (the pair of tits) AND FOR GOD SAKE DON'T FUCK WITH THE PASSWORD FIELDS, just click the START button down at the bottom to launch the game.
- If the game crashes on launch then you need to choose a different core hook. If the game starts then go to the customisation room and look at the textures. Press F9 to toggle the fx file (your variant) on and off. If you get static or there has been no graphical change or that change has been marginal then your hook works, but you need to choose a different fx file.
- Other than what has been mentioned here and in the troubleshooting section there is really no rhyme or reason for a hook or fx file failing. We can solely attribute it to your graphics card.
- 5. I've totally read all of the above, but my hook still jost dosn't werk!
- Let's review:
- Add the core files of the hook you choose to the Binaries folder.
- Launch the game from the LAUNCHER in the BINARIES. If it doesn't launch then choose another hook until it launches.
- When it launches add the main.fx of your choice to the binaries so that it overwrites the basic main.fx. If the filter of your choice is not named main.fx THEN NAME IT MAIN.FX.
- Launch the game from THE LAUNCHER in the BINARIES.
- Check the options tab. The renderer must be DIRECTX and NOT OPENGL. YOU NEED TO SAVE THIS.
- If you did all that then run the game and enter the customisation room. If you don't see the difference press F9 which toggles the main.fx on and off. Expect to be dissapointed. Depending on your graphics card (I could not come up with any other reason) the filter may not work at all or the difference may be marginal.
- It goes without saying that you will have to delete/overwrite the files of hook3 before checking out hook 4 and so on.
- MODELS, POSES, MODS:
- All of these can be found on modsgarden, the first post in each respective thread gives directions on how to install said items.
- MEMORY FIX:
- If your application runs out of memory and promptly crashes and you want that to stop, or you just want to make everything load faster, use the 4GB patch located here:

- Run the exe and patch both the launcher and TK17 exe that are located in the binaries folder. That will allow the game to use 4GBs of RAM instead of limiting itself to 2.
- MOD MANAGEMENT:
- A) Download the JSGME mod manager (Generic Mod Enabler)

- Manually Installing mods requires you to save the mod to the appropriate destination in your 'TheKlub17' folder, which can be troublesome considering different mods (.txx files, clothes, body mods and so on) go to different directories. Aside from that if you want to check the differences between two mods, enabling one mod and disabling the other more or less boils down to lots of copy paste and deletion of numerous tiny files.
- The entire process of adding, activating and deactivating mods can be remedied with this commonly used mod manager. This program, when placed in your 'TheKlub17' folder allows you to keep all your mod folders in one place and allows you to easily enable or disable any combination of mods.
- C) OK YOU SOLD ME ON IT, WHAT NOW?
- 1. Extract [JSGME] Mod Manager directly to your 'TheKlub17' folder. You don't need to put its contents in its own folder.
- 2. Run JSGME.exe. This will create a folder called MODS in the same location.
- 3. It is recommended that before you delve into modding you apply any scripts or patches to a clean install of TK17. open JSGME, click 'Tasks' and 'Generate Snapshot of Game Files'. This feature will create a reference point in case you ever need to find out if a particular file is a mod or a core file.
- 4. Extract the mod you are interested in along with the folder containing it and move it into the MODS folder created earlier.
- 5. In JSGME, you'll see it in the available mods list on the left. You can activate it by clicking it and then the '>' arrow. Similarly, you can deactivate enabled mods by clicking the mod on the right and then the '<' arrow.
- Many mods are organised so that they are usable with JSGME. You may however, have to enable mod scripts that complement various mods and make them usable with it. For example R9 Mods require the R9 Custom Addon and NoClip mods. These are applied in the same manner.

- In your Mod/Activemod folder. If it's clothing then feel free to name the folder with the files within anything you like. If it's a room, you must have 'R_' in front of the name. (ex: R_OrcKingThrone room)
- PEOPLE ARE SHARING MODELS. HOW DO I DO THE SAME?
- Your models are located in /Save/Models folder. They are all named ModelXXXX (where XXXX is their number). To know which one is the model you want to share you just need to open the 'choose me' screen in game and pick your model. The number of the clone is mentioned right under her name (for example it may say 'Jill clone - 1342'. That means that you are looking for Model1342) in the details screen.
- Explore the folder, .rar up the model then upload that goodness to the FTP. And to modsgarden since without the bulk of their efforts we wouldn't even be able to have it like this.
- WHAT IS FACEMATE AND HOW DO I DO IT?
- FaceMate is a program which allows the user to port faces from celebrities, girls from highschool you wanted to fuck, inactive pornstars, current pornstars, friends, family, and even yourself into the game. The instructions for FaceMating are also in-game so I'll skip 'em here. Open up your character customization menu and click on the FaceMate tab and get started. The results of your Facemate will range from 10/10 to so-so to hilariously poor tier. Download/save any image on the internet you can find that has your desired person facing the camera. 3/4th views won't work. Try to have their features as unobstructed as possible. Bangs will more than likely fuck up. Then, save the image as a .png in Mod/Facemate. You'll be able to see the image in your FaceMate. Follow the directions from there. Good luck.
- You can sometimes achieve better results when using the application Facegen to process the original picture, then importing the digital image you can get from that into facemate.

- Open the file in Photoshop (or any other Photo Shop esque program you have)
- Image -> Image size -> x00% (x can be 2 or 4 depending on the size of texture)

- Disable SSAO/FXAA in main.fx by commenting lines #define USE_SSAO and #define USE_FXAA_FILTER

- Modsgarden is pretty normalfag and they will leap into a frenzy if you suggest loli/shota mods or clothing or the like. Despite modsgarden being lewd, they're pretty vanilla/normalfag and will break out in disputes over fetishes ranging from furry to foot. It's weird. Go to modsgarden for the mods, stay in the /vg/t/d/ generals for the discussion.
- We're maxing out the limitations of this dated engine. This program has no Physical Address Extension, it runs under DirectX 8 (top lel) and last but not least it stresses only one core of the CPU to it's absolute limit. The game can play on toasters but it even does that poorly. You've got it working to your hearts content now but don't get complacent. You can go further beyond.
